Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor who carved Ram Lalla’s idol, finds himself in a condition of profound blessing just before the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple.

“I am the world’s luckiest person. My ancestors, family members, and Lord Ram Lalla have always bestowed their blessings upon me. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a dream. “This is the most important day for me,” he told ANI.

As the nation excitedly anticipates Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha, Arun Yogiraj stands as a symbol of dedication and fulfilment, making this historic event a testament to his workmanship and devotion.Meanwhile, Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has declared that today marks the start of ‘Ram Rajya’.

The idol of Ram Lalla was installed in the temple last week, depicting the deity as a five-year-old standing on a lotus.

Arun Yogiraj crafted the 51-inch black stone idol, which had been hidden under a veil in the days preceding up to today’s ceremony.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the ‘pran pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple. In preparation for this momentous occasion, he had meticulously followed an 11-day set of religious ceremonies.

Arun’s father, Yogiraj, is also an accomplished sculptor, and his grandfather, Basavanna Shilpi, was patronised by the King of Mysore.

Arun’s significant works include a 30-foot statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate, a 12-foot figure of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath, and a number of other statues, including those of Dr. BR Ambedkar and Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

His achievements have gained him recognition from groups and even the royal family of Mysore.

“Today is a proud day for India. This marks the commencement of ‘Ram Rajya’. My heart is full, and we are quite happy. Dhirendra Shastri extended his best wishes to the entire nation and the world.
Former Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Chief Dr Satheesh Reddy, who also came at the temple town, expressed his pleasure to be a part of the function.
