Prices for the new Ather 450S and 450X start at Rs 1.30 lakh.

Ather Energy has disclosed the prices for the new 450S and 450X electric scooters. The 450S was just introduced by the firm as a less expensive alternative to the 450X.Both electric scooters are currently only available with a 2.9kWh battery pack, with the 450X receiving a 3.7kWh battery pack in October 2023.

The 450S, our latest entry-level model, breaks new ground in the 125cc performance scooter sector with a first-of-its-kind DeepView Display dashboard and a slew of never-before-seen unique features.
The 450S raises the bar dramatically in terms of riding pleasure and safety while still delivering on performance. The 450S will appeal to everyone who wants to get into the electric market but wants the quality and assurance that Ather scooters deliver at a reasonable price. Along with the 450S, we are offering the 450X in 3kWh and 4kWh capacities, giving our customers even more alternatives from our best-selling scooter platform.”
The new 2023 Ather 450S has a 2.9kWh battery pack and an IDC range of 115km. This is linked with a 7.24bhp and 22Nm electric motor, resulting in a 3.9-second acceleration time to 40kmph and a top speed of 90kmph. The scooter comes with a lot of features, including the new DeepView TFT display, which offers a variety of functionalities, as well as additional safety measures like FallSafe, which cuts off the motor if it detects the user is about to fall, Emergency Stop Signal, and coasting regen. These features have also made their way to the 450X.

Ather 450 pricing in 2023 –

The pricing of the new Ather 450S is Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The Ather 450X with a 2.9kWh battery costs Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), while the Ather 450X with a 3.7kWh battery costs Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The 450S Pro-Pack costs Rs 14,000, the 450X costs Rs 16,000, and the 450X with 3.9kWh battery costs Rs 23,000.
The 2023 Ather 450X, on the other hand, is now available with a 2.9kWh battery pack, with the top-spec 450X with the 3.7kWh battery set to go on sale in October. The smaller battery has a range of 115 km, which is 30 kilometres less than the larger battery pack. Customers can choose the Pro Pack, which includes features such as Ride Assist, Ather Battery Protect, AtherStack updates, and Ather Connect. The motor, on the other hand, is the same 8.4bhp unit.
The 7-inch DeepView display of the Ather 450S has a 1000:1 contrast ratio, adjustable brightness, and numerous display settings. The scooter also has redesigned switchgear that improves tactility, as well as a new reverse switch and a joystick. The new coasting regen feature steadily slows the scooter while harvesting energy to increase range. The mudflap has also been improved to reduce tyre splash and provide better protection for the suspension and brakes.
Deliveries of the new 450X with 2.9kWh battery will begin in the third week of August, the 450S in the fourth week of August, and the new 450X with 3.7kWh battery in October.
