Chandrayaan 3 live updates: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday put out the first images of the moon as captured by Chandrayaan-3,India’s third lunar mission.
After entering the Moon’s orbit on Saturday, Chandrayan-3 acquired the amazing photographs of the lunar surface.
“The Moon as seen by the #Chandrayaan3 spacecraft during Lunar Orbit Insertion (LOI) on August 5, 2023,” the Mission’s official Twitter handle tweeted.

According to ISRO, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, which has travelled around two-thirds of the journey to the Moon since launch, safely entered Lunar orbit on Saturday.
After the United States, China, and Russia, India became the fourth country to land a spacecraft on the moon’s surface, establishing the country’s capability for a safe and soft landing on the lunar surface.
It will operate for one lunar day, or around 14 Earth days, after landing. One day on the Moon is equivalent to fourteen days on Earth.
The approved cost of Chandrayaan-3 is Rs 250 crore (without the cost of the launch vehicle).
The development phase of Chandrayaan-3 began in January 2020, with an initial launch date of 2021. However, the Covid-19 pandemic caused an unanticipated delay in the mission’s development.
