Dangal movie actor Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the role of Babita Phogat is no more. According to reports, Suhani passed away due to fluid accumulation in her body.

Suhani Bhatnagar, who played child Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s film Dangal, died on Saturday morning. She was only nineteen years old. The actress was admitted to AIIMS, after a reaction caused by a medication. She had been undergoing treatment for fluid accumulation in her body for quite some time.

The Faridabad-born actor rose to prominence after starring in the 2016 biographical film about a wrestler who helps his two daughters succeed.

Zaira Wasim played young Geeta, while Bhatnagar played Babita. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra portrayed the characters in their adult forms. Aamir Khan performed the role of their father, Mahavir Phogat.

Nitesh Tiwari, the film’s director, also expressed grief over the death.

“Suhani’s death is absolutely shocking and terrible. She was such a cheerful soul, full of life. “My heartfelt condolences to her family,” he added in a statement.

Suhani took a break from acting to finish her studies.
