Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand became the first Kiwi batter to make a century against India in the World Cup since 1975 on Sunday. Mitchell came in to bat when the Kiwis were two down for only 19 runs. He batted admirably, however, and formed a much-needed 150-run combination with Rachin Ravindra.

Mitchell’s century against India in the World Cup was the first by a New Zealander since Glenn Turner hit a century in 1975. Glenn Turner scored a century against India in the World Cup in 1975. “Daryl Mitchell – 2023,” claimed social media user Mufaddal Vohra.

Netizens praised Kuldeep Yadav for making a strong return in the second period following an expensive first. Kuldeep let up 48 runs with no wickets in the opening five overs. However, in the following five overs, he took two wickets for 25 runs.

“Kuldeep has really come back pretty fine after 5 overs, who has seen this live knows what exactly I am talking about could have got Mitchell as well if Bumrah has caught the sitter,” a user on the social media site remarked.

Ravindra Jadeja is recognised as one of the best fielders in cricket right now, and the Indian cricket team benefits from his stunning catches on a regular basis. But when Jadeja failed to hold a simple catch, giving Rachin Ravindra a vital lifeline during today’s ICC World Cup 2023 match between India and New Zealand, both fans and experts were stunned, but one of the best reactions came from his wife, and the video is now going viral on the internet.

Ravindra hit it straight to Jadeja at the backward point, but the ball slipped out of his grasp before the all-rounder could complete the catch.

After taking two early wickets, India struggled in the middle overs as the Kiwis continued to score. At one time, it appeared that New Zealand might score 300 or more runs, but the Indian bowlers performed admirably in the dying overs.

Mohammed Shami took two wickets for three runs in the 49th over. “Shami is proving once again that he can do this all day!” India was not at its best in the field today, and the outfield was not as good, which could lead to injuries. However, the death bowling from IND was outstanding, Kuldeep had a terrific recovery, and Jasprit ,Siraj performed admirably.”
