Mitsubishi Motors has unveiled the Xforce, the company’s first all-new SUV in a long time. This will be launched in Indonesia initially, followed by other South East Asian countries, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. This is based on the XFC concept car, which was unveiled by the business last year.

The Mitsubishi Xforce is a five-seater SUV designed exclusively for ASEAN. The front features a complex design that includes a wide aggressive grille flanked by Y-shaped LED DRLs and headlights. The lower part features hefty bumpers that add to the SUV appearance. It has a length of 4,390mm, a width of 1,810mm, a height of 1,660mm, and a wheelbase of 2,650mm. The Y-shaped taillamps are also present in the back part, and the SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

Takao Kato, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors, commented on the launch, saying, “While ensuring the all-new Xforce meets the requirements for driving performance, ease of handling, a comfortable interior, wide-ranging user-friendliness, and everything else demanded of a compact SUV, we have put our heart and soul into the development to bring excitement to our customers’ everyday driving.” This compact SUV was designed to meet the needs of ASEAN drivers and has undergone extensive testing on the region’s roads. We think that the all-new Xforce will be the ideal companion for any journey that drivers wish to embark on, providing them with an extra push to go one step further and experience something new.”

The cabin has a contemporary design with a freestanding 12.3-inch display and an 8-inch instrument display. Physical controls for climate control and other operations can be found beneath the HVAC vents. Mitsubishi claims that the Xforce’s cabin provides best-in-class size and comfort. A Yamaha 8-speaker music system, a Pajero-inspired multimeter display with altitude, tilt, and direction readings, Smartphone connectivity, USB-A and C connectors, and numerous more convenience features are included.

The Mitsubishi Xforce is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that produces 105bhp and 141Nm of torque. This is coupled with a CVT, which directs power to the front wheels. The SUV has four drive modes as well as the Mitsubishi Active YAW Control system.
