Police claimed on Sunday that pro-Khalistan graffiti was detected on the walls of various metro stations around Delhi ahead of the G20 conference on September 9-10.

Slogans like ‘Delhi Banega Khalistan’ and ‘Khalistan Referendum Zindabad’ were sprayed in black on the walls of metro stations in west Delhi, including Punjabi Bagh, Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar, Udyog Nagar, Maharaja Surajmal Stadium, and Nangloi.

According to the Delhi Police, activists from the outlawed Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) were present in a number of metro stations, including Shivaji Park and Punjabi Bagh, and chanted pro-Khalistan slogans.

Anti-India graffiti was also discovered on the wall of the Government Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in Nangloi.

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police is currently actively involved in the investigation and has been deployed at various sites.

According to the DCP (metro), all graffiti on the metro station walls has been erased.

The CCTV material is being checked in order to identify the culprits and apprehend them as quickly as feasible.

An FIR has been filed against unidentified individuals under sections 153B and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as Section 3 of the Defacement Act.

Separately, the illegal Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) published video showing pro-Khalistan graffiti on the walls of multiple Delhi metro stations, according to authorities.

Its leader, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, stated in the video that a referendum on Khalistan will be held in Surrey, Canada on September 10, the day when the G20 summit will be held in Delhi.
