Sunny Deol, who is currently enjoying the success of Gadar 2, has responded to claims that he is already preparing for the Border sequel. He took to Instagram to express his disappointment, writing, ‘I have not signed any movies.’

“Some news has been circulating about me signing a few films; I would like to inform you that I am currently concentrating on Gadar 2 and receiving all your love,” he stated. I have not signed any film contracts and will announce something unique at the appropriate moment. Keep sending your love to Tara Singh and Gadar 2 until then.”
Meanwhile, according to Pinkvilla, the story for Border 2 has been ready for a few years, and the filmmakers are now in talks to bring a large studio on board. According to the portal, “Border is among the most historic blockbusters of Indian Cinema and is easily a film that warrants a sequel.” For the last two to three years, the team has been considering the possibility of developing a Border sequel, and everything has now finally fallen into place, with the team preparing to make an official announcement of Border 2 in a fortnight.”
According to the source, the filmmakers have uncovered an unrecorded story from the 1971 Indo-Pak conflict and aim to adapt it for the big screen.
The 1997 blockbuster’s ensemble cast includes Sunny alongside Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, and others. According to sources, the producers of Border 2 intend to keep Sunny from the prequel, and he will be assisted by performers from younger generations.
“Being a heavy-on action film, the team will cast actors from the younger generation rather than bringing together the entire Border troop,” a source informed the portal. Sunny Deol will most likely be the sole actor from Border that appears in Border 2. It’s all in the early phases right now, and additional information will be provided once the film is formally announced very shortly.”
