What is Solar Eclipse?

According to NASA, a total solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, completely covering the Sun’s face. When the Moon touches Earth, people who are in the centre of its shadow will see a total eclipse. According to NASA, a total solar eclipse is the only form of eclipse in which spectators can temporarily remove their eclipse glasses (which are not the same as conventional sunglasses) when the Moon is entirely blocking the Sun.
