Tata motors has revealed its its upcoming Curvv SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The expected date for launch is expected in April 2024 in India. The Curvv will be available in both traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and electric versions.

Some significant changes will be seen in Curvv as compared to its previous version showcased at the Auto Expo last year. Significant improvements include LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and a lightbar influenced by Tata’s newest design language, which can be seen in models such as the Nexon, Punch, Harrier, and Safari. The grille, bumper, and headlight units have been modified, with repositioned air vents and a lower-placed air intake on the bumper. Tata has also included a skid plate at the front for further protection.

About the Tata Curvv EV Concept

The Curvv SUV will have new alloy designs, larger wheel arches with black claddings, and flush door handles. The rear features modified connected LED taillights, bringing it closer to its final production look.

Tata Motors revealed the Avinya EV, an all-electric concept vehicle, in April 2022. This model is based on the brand’s next-generation platform and is expected to be available in 2025.

The Avinya EV features a futuristic and smoothed-surface design language. It has the ‘T’-shaped, full-length horizontal light bar at the front and rear, which defines Tata Motors’ new brand identity. The electric car also includes side view cameras that function as ORVMs. Aside from that, the Avinya EV will be 4.3 metres in length.

Tata has created a new third-generation electric-only architecture for future EVs. Avinya will be the first to use the platform. Furthermore, it gives additional in-cabin space for passengers.

Key Specifications

Tata Curvv will be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, capable of producing 113 bhp of power and 260 Nm of peak torque. As compared to to the Nexon SUV’s appearance, the Curvv is greater in size. It is 4,308 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,630 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. The SUV has a spacious cargo that can hold up to 422 litres of stuff.

Though Tata displayed the Curvv with a 1.2-liter petrol engine at the previous Auto Expo, its participation in the production version is unknown.
