Virat Kohli has clarified rumours that the ace cricketer intends to construct a cricket pitch at Alibaug property on Tuesday. Virat and his actress-wife Anushka Sharma, two of the most talked-about celebs in town, have reportedly purchased an eight-acre home in Zirad village. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli recently visited the Maharashtra building site after resting for the whole T20I series between India and the West Indies.
According to a renowned news outlet, Virat and Anushka had plans to develop a cricket pitch at their ultra-expensive Alibaug property. Kohli, on the other hand, has refuted the rumours with a notable response on social media. Kohli cleared the air on Instagram on Tuesday, calling the development “fake news.” “Bachpan se jo akhbaar Padha hai, wo bhi fake news chaapne lage ab (The newspaper that we have read since childhood is also publishing fake news these days),” Kohli said in a Stories post on Instagram.
Kohli’s statement comes after a media outlet stated that the former India captain wanted to build a cricket pitch on his opulent estate. Kohli is one of Instagram’s most followed athletes, with over 255 million followers on the photo and video-sharing platform. Kohli, according to prior reports, purchased his second property in Alibaug last year. The Indian team’s experienced batter paid a stamp duty of INR 36 lakh for the sale of his 2,000 sq ft property in Alibaug, which cost him INR 6 crore.

Kohli finally speaks out about his revenue via social media.

Because Kohli was on international duty in Australia at the time, his brother Vikas Kohli went to the Alibaug sub-registrar office to finish the registration processes. Kohli recently provided a clarification following allegations that the batting legend gets approximately INR 11 crore for sharing sponsored Instagram posts. “While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making the rounds about my social media earnings is not true,” Kohli stated. On the job front, the 34-year-old is preparing for the next Asia Cup. Kohli did not bat for Rohit Sharma’s Team India in their previous white-ball match in the Caribbean against the West Indies.
