Vivo has announced its latest X100 series in India, with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 SoC, triple rear cameras co-engineered by Zeiss, and an IP68-rated casing. The Vivo X100 Pro costs Rs. 89,999, while the Vivo X100 costs Rs. 63,999.

On Thursday, January 4, Vivo officially announced its latest X100 series in India. The new Vivo X100 and X100 Pro handsets are powered by MediaTek’s strong Dimensity 9300 SoC and feature an IP68-rated construction for water and dust resistance. The camera capabilities of these devices stand out, with triple rear camera modules co-engineered by Zeiss and powered by Vivo’s in-house V2 CPU for better picture processing.

Pricing in India

The Vivo X100 Pro costs Rs. 89,999 for its unique variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage and an eye-catching Asteroid Black colour. In comparison, the Vivo X100 starts at Rs. 63,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage edition, and Rs. 69,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. The X100 is available in Asteroid Black and Stargaze Blue.

These smartphones from Vivo are currently open for pre-orders and are scheduled to be on sale from January 11. They can be purchased through various channels, including Flipkart, the Vivo India online store, and other authorized stores. Additionally, customers pre-booking with specific bank cards have the opportunity to avail up to a 10 percent cashback.

Vivo X100 Pro specs

The Vivo X100 Pro is a dual SIM (Nano) smartphone that runs the Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14. It has a 6.78-inch AMOLED 8T LTPO curved display with a peak brightness of 3000nits, high-frequency dimming at 2160Hz, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. An octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, paired with Vivo’s V2 chip, and up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM power the device.

The X100 Pro’s camera is a collaboration with Zeiss, and it has a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), an ultra-wide-angle camera with 50MP resolution, and a Zeiss APO super-telephoto camera with 50MP resolution and OIS. The telephoto camera has 4.3x optical zoom, and both the primary and telephoto cameras have 100x digital zoom. In addition, the gadget has a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The Vivo X100 regular variant has the same SIM, software, and display characteristics as the Pro model. It is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC and has up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a Vivo V2 chip, and the G720 GPU for smooth performance. A 50MP primary Sony IMX920 VCS bionic main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64MP Zeiss super-telephoto camera with 100x clear zoom compose the Zeiss-branded triple back camera configuration. It has a 32MP front camera for selfies.

The X100 is a powerhouse in its own right, with storage options up to 1TB, identical connectivity, water and dust resistance ratings, and a similar collection of sensors. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, allowing users to charge their devices quickly. It measures 164.05x75x8.49mm and weighs 202 grams.
