Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Jio has launched new Jio AirFiber services across India. Jio AirFiber provides high-speed connectivity that is comparable to fiber-optic lines such as JioFiber. This new AirFiber, on the other hand, will leverage True 5G technology to construct personal Wi-Fi networks without the need for physical wire. The user-friendly setup includes simple plug-and-play capability, allowing users to easily build Wi-Fi hotspots.

The business promises to offer an integrated end-to-end solution for home entertainment, smart home services, and high-speed broadband to 8 metro cities with Jio AirFiber.

Key Differences between Jio AirFiber and Jio Fiber

Both the products are meant to provide users with high broadband and seamless connectivity. The latter, on the other hand, includes wireless setup. AirFiber is a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service that provides consumers with broadband-like internet connectivity while on the go.

Meanwhile, Jio Fiber comes with a package that includes setup, an additional modem, and wiring.

Jio AirFiber is similar to wireless 4G dongles, but it provides extra benefits such as broadband-like speed via 5G.

In terms of speed, Jio’s latest offering offers rates of up to 1Gbps, as well as plans of 30Mbps, 100Mbps, 150Mbps, 300Mbps, 500Mbps, and 1Gbps.

Jio Fiber, too, provides speeds of up to 1000 mbps.

What we can get with connecting to Jio AirFiber?

A Jio AirFiber connection includes a Wi-Fi router (5G hotspot device) for ubiquitous coverage in your home or office, a 4K smart set top box, and a voice operated remote.

For digital entertainment purposes, it provides all leading 550+ digitalTV Channels in high-definition and users can watch all their favourite shows.

It also provides users to get free access to 16 plus OTT apps and they can use their subscription to use the app across any device of their own choice such as TV, Laptop, Mobile or Tablet.

Plans and Installation of AirFiber:

For installation purposes customers are required to pay an installation fees of Rs 1000 which will be waived off with annual plan. The installation process will start from October 1.
